Fotografia: "Fotografia" mostra in modo chiaro e accessibile l'evoluzione del linguaggio e della tecnica fotografica. Lo fa attraverso le tre parti in cui è diviso il volume. La prima parte ripercorre la storia della fotografia mondiale, letta nei suoi rapporti con la società del tempo, con la ricerca scientifica, con la parallela evoluzione degli altri linguaggi artistici. Viene rivolta una particolare attenzione alle ricerche più recenti e alle vicende della fotografia italiana del dopoguerra. La seconda parte, intitolata "Teoria, tecniche, strumenti", presenta una guida di base al fotografare e permette di avvicinarsi al momento tecnico, connaturato al mezzo fotografico. Si evidenzia così come la storia dei progressi tecnologici e scientifici sia inseparabile da quella dell'«arte fotografica». La terza parte è costituita da una serie di "Letture" di opere dei fotografi che, a giudizio dell'autore, hanno maggiormente influenzato lo sviluppo del linguaggio fotografico. "Photography" clearly and accessiblely shows the evolution of language and photographic technique. It does this through the three parts in which the volume is divided. The first part traces the history of world photography, read in its relations with the society of the time, with scientific research, with the parallel evolution of other artistic languages. Special attention is paid to the most recent research and the events of post-war Italian photography. The second part, entitled "Theory, techniques, tools", presents a basic guide to photographing and allows you to approach the technical moment, in nature to the photographic medium. It is also clear that the history of technological and scientific advances is inseparable from that of 'photographic art'. The third part consists of a series of "Readings" of works by photographers that, in the opinion of the author, have most influenced the development of the photographic language.
